My 6.5yr old was wetting her pull up most nights. We tried training the usual way but she wouldn’t wake and would wee. She didn’t want to wear a pull up anymore but equally we weren’t getting far with the other method! She might have got there eventually but would have taken months. After researching and realising she was too young for formal help I read that an alarm would be best to use to facilitate the waking up bit.
Well first night naturally it’s a shock for her when the alarm goes off and she’s so sleepy but as she was determined to continue we happily carried on and gradually the spells of dry nights became longer a longer. We would have 2nights dry then one wet then another 3 or 4 nights and then one wet and so on. We kept the same routine every night even in hotels or on hols (with layered up waterproof and sheets) until we eventually got to a run of 14nights dry! This was at the 2.5mth mark. I then removed the alarm and she hasn’t had it back since! We are 5mths down the line and I feel confident to say she’s cracked it! So proud of her but really it’s her body learning so we would praise that and any wet episodes we took as her body still learning.
The support emails were so helpful and happy to get to back to any queries quickly.
Every child is different and their bodies learn in different ways. I would say if child and you are happy all the way through this is a fantastic and successful method. Keep things light and not stressful even though u might feel it inside!
I highly recommend this as a method for those kids who just need a bit of facilitation to wake up.
That is a great effort! Congratulations on getting bedwetting sorted. We are glad the support emails helped. Thanks for the feedback.
My 8.5 year old has been struggling with bed wetting forever. And after years of sleeping with a pull-up, her doctor suggested we try one of these devices. I thought we had nothing to lose, but didn't really believe it would work. But after only about one to two weeks we started to see improvements. And now after about 4 weeks she is dry every morning. I'm actually emotional writing this because this means so so much to her. She was shy to have sleepovers, or babysitters because she felt like she was living with this secret. She is so proud and I am so grateful for this alarm device. I cannot recommend it enough.
Well done! We are so glad they are free of pull-ups. We hope she enjoys the sleepovers.
I was feeling at a loss with our 8yo wearing a diaper to bed every night and waking up with a very wet diaper every morning. We kept hoping she would age out of it, but she wasn't showing any signs of improvement naturally. Never once has she woken up at night to go the bathroom during the night, whereas her little sister stopped wearing a diaper and had no accidents from around 3yo - kids can be so different. My husband and I weren't comfortable with medication to try and resolve this, so this device seemed like a safe alternative to at least try. We considered it for over a year and then finally read enough positive reviews to persuade us to buy it.
Our daughter is a very deep sleeper (and a little stubborn) so we found we had to stay in her room overnight for the first bit to wake her up and take her to the washroom to pee. But within a few days we could tell that the alarm was making a difference and she would stop peeing in her diaper when she heard it go off - still reluctant to get out of bed, but that's just her. Within a month most of her nights are dry and she proudly tells us if she wakes on her own to go the washroom during the night.
if you're struggling with bedwetting I would definitely recommend trying this system out, it has absolutely been a game changer for our family. Our 8yo is now looking forward to sleepovers and overnight camp this summer.
Sound like great improvement is being made. Well done! We hope she enjoys her camp in the summer.
We had tried everything with my 7 year old daughter and nothing was working. She was struggling to wake up even when I was helping her.
One night with the alarm and ahw has either been dry or woken up by herself! It's been amazing!
The only time she has wet since we started using the alarm was the first night of a holiday.
I strongly suggest trying it if your little one needs help!
10/10 for our house!
We bought this after a recommendation from a friend. Our 6yr old son was wearing nappies at night, but was often soaking through. The first week was tough, he really didn’t enjoy being woken up and going to bathroom, but then during second week he was waking up before the alarm and going to bathroom on his own. During the 3rd week he started being dry all night, and has now been dry every night for over a month! Absolutely brilliant result thank you and couldn’t recommend it more
This product has made a huge difference to our son's night training experience. In some ways we wonder if we should have tried it sooner! He was always a very deep sleeper - often not even waking up when he was soaked through. He now maintains dryness throughout the whole night, waking only in the morning to go to the toilet.
We are so pleased the Eclipse helped your son's night training. All the best for the future!
My 9yo daughter had been struggling with trying to be dry over night. She’s a super heavy sleeper so I was skeptics however within 2 weeks she was dry and feeling much more confident. Very happy overall, it works!
We are so glad your deep sleeper's bedweting is sorted. All the best for the future.
Our daughter started wetting the bed at age 8, before then she had had no problem staying dry at night. It started off as a night here or there but then progressed to every night. We started with the alarm and it took about 3 weeks of use before we started to see progress. She is a very deep sleeper so didn’t remember getting up for the alarm but it started to work and now she is dry 95% of the time. We need to remind her to go to the toilet a couple of times before bed, which also helps.
It is very positive to have that level of improvement. Double voiding is a good strategy as well as hydration and regular toilet visits throughout the day.
Our 7yo daughter is now successfully dry at night, after using the sensor after a couple of weeks. It’s worked much better compared to a previous model where the sensor was connected to the alarm - my daughter kept removing it in her sleep. The remote alarm meant she had to get up and out of bed to turn it off.
There was a slight issue with it as at one stage it didn’t seem to alarm, but the support team were very quick to respond and I think it was an error on my part - worked perfectly afterwards
Congratulations on getting bedwetting sorted!
